I Can Move Mountains
He replied, "Because you have so little faith. I tell you the truth, if you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, 'Move from here to there' and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you." Matthew 17:20 NIV

When you're battered and bruised
Do not take revenge, my friends, but leave room for God’s wrath, for it is written: “It is mine to avenge; I will repay,” says the Lord. On the contrary: “If your enemy is hungry, feed him; if he is thirsty, give him something to drink. In doing this, you will heap burning coals on his head.” Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good Romans 12:19-21 NIV

Doubts and Questions
God can handle our doubts, and he welcomes our questions. Do you have questions about Jesus—about who he is or what he expects of you? Admit them to yourself and to God, and begin looking for answers. Only as you face your doubts honestly can you begin to resolve them.

Follow Faithfully
Sometimes we feel that if the Holy Spirit leads us, it will always be "beside peaceful streams" (Ps 23:2). But that is not necessarily true. He led Jesus into the wilderness for a long and difficult time of testing, and he may also lead us into difficult situations. When facing trials, first make sure you haven't brought them on yourself through sin or unwise choices. If you find no sin to confess or unwise behavior to change, then ask God to strengthen you for your test. Finally, be careful to follow faithfully wherever the Holy Spirit leads.

A Plea Offered In Prayer
"Then Jacob prayed, "O God of my father Abraham, God of my father Isaac, O Lord, who said to me, `Go back to your country and your relatives, and I will make you prosper,' I am unworthy of all the kindness and faithfulness you have shown your servant. I had only my staff when I crossed this Jordan, but now I have become two groups. Save me, I pray, from the hand of my brother Esau, for I am afraid he will come and attack me, and also the mothers with their children. But you have said, `I will surely make you prosper and will make your descendants like the sand of the sea, which cannot be counted. ' " Genesis 32:9-12 NIV

There's A Blessing In The Water
If you concentrate on all the bad and the things you wish you had, how can the dark clouds ever pass? Weeping may endure for a night but joy comes in the morning light. So no matter what the people say, nobody can take your joy away. In spite of everything you've been through you still can say, "Thank you Jesus!"
There's a blessing in the water y'all by the riverside. Say what now? There's a healing in the water y'all, by the riverside. Say what now? There's a blessing in the water y'all by the riverside. Say what now? There's a healing in the water y'all, by the riverside. Say what now?

Sing Praises To The Lord!
Give thanks to the LORD, call on his name; make know among the nations what he has done. Sing to him, sing praise to him; tell of all his wonderful acts. Psalm 105:1-2 NIV
Oh God, I thank you for being there for me. Looking back at my life, I’ve gone through many things, endured a lot of hurt and pain felt like my living was in vain. So many setbacks and letdowns, it was driving me insane. I’m so glad that you were there to hold me; so glad that you were there to hold me.
All those nights I cried, I couldn’t sleep at all. So many fears surrounded me, felt like I was gonna fall. All those times I was troubled and I just couldn’t find peace. Lord I’m glad that you were there to hold me. So glad that you were there to hold me.
Listen, through every test and trial, you held me in your arms. No one could come to me, you protected me through the storm. I’m still alive today just to tell my testimony. I;m so glad that you were there to hold me. So glad that you were there to hold me.
Through every test and trial, you held me in your arms. No one could come to me, you protected me through the storm. I’m still alive today just to tell my testimony. So glad that you were there to hold me.
You held me in your arms, you didn’t leave. I’m glad you were there to hold me. You kept on holding me. Thank you Jesus. Kept on holding me, my my my.
Late in the midnight hour when I was feeling so lost. You kept holding me. Thank you Lord. You held me close and you didn’t let me go. You didn’t let me go. So many times Lord, I cried all night long. Yes I did and I felt like giving up; and I had to live with so much hurt and pain. And I wonder sometimes where I would be without you. I don’t know. I’ve been up sometimes and God knows I’ve been down ya’ll.
Sometimes I felt like my life was going to end. Oh Lord, I thank God that he was there to hold. Yes, he was. And he held me close and never, never, never, never let me go. Oh Lord, thank you for keeping me in your care. Oh Lord, I thank you for wrapping your loving arms around me. Can’t thank you enough. Where would I be without you, I don’t know. Oh Lord, I thank you for holding me. Thank you, thank you, thank you Lord for holding me.

He Did Not Condemn Her
But Jesus went to the Mount of Olives. At dawn he appeared again in the temple courts, where all the people gathered around him, and he sat down to teach them. The teachers of the law and the Pharisees brought in a woman caught in adultery. They made her stand before the group and said to Jesus, "Teacher, this woman was caught in the act of adultery. In the Law Moses commanded us to stone such women. Now what do you say?" They were using this question as a trap, in order to have a basis for accusing him. But Jesus bent down and started to write on the ground with his finger. When they kept on questioning him, he straightened up and said to them, "If any one of you is without sin, let him be the first to throw a stone at her." Again he stooped down and wrote on the ground. At this, those who heard began to go away one at a time, the older ones first, until only Jesus was left, with the woman still standing there. Jesus straightened up and asked her, "Woman, where are they? Has no one condemned you?" "No one, sir," she said. "Then neither do I condemn you," Jesus declared. "Go now and leave your life of sin." John 8:1-11 NIV
This woman was caught in the act of adultery. She was guilty. The teachers of the law and the Pharisees (today they would be called leaders in the church) were ready to stone her. They offered no mercy or compassion just condemnation. They brought her to Jesus but not for compassion. They wanted Jesus to agree with them as well as to try and trap him so they could accuse him. Jesus responded, "If any one of you is without sin, let him be the first to throw a stone at her," the teachers of the law and the Pharisees as well as those who heard went away. They could not refute his words for they too had sin. Then Jesus said to the woman, "Woman, where are they? Has no one condemned you?" "Then neither do I condemn you," Jesus declared. "Go now and leave your life of sin."
Jesus did not condemn her even though she was guilty. He had compassion on her. If Jesus our Master can show compassion, why can't you? Jesus displayed the attitude we're suppose to have for others whether they are guilty or not. So many of us Christians behave just like the teachers of the law and the Pharisees. We're so ready to condemn, to accuse, and to stone others who we think are guilty and those who are. Do you have wicked motives towards the person you judged as guilty?
Brothers and sisters we need to repent of such behavior and show compassion not condemnation. Remember, you have sin also. Why put yourself above others and look down on them? Why do to them what Jesus would not do?
Remember, "Do not judge, or you too will be judged. For in the same way you judge others, you will be judged, and with the measure you use, it will be measured to you." Matthew 7:1-2 NIV Will you stand up to your own scrutiny if the tables were turned?
Know this: The prayers of that person you condemned are before the altar of God crying out against you for vindication and God hears it.

Changes
Some people hate change but change is an important part of life if you want to grow. Scripture says, “When times are good, be happy; but when times are bad, consider this: God has made the one as well as the other. Therefore, no one can discover anything about their future.” Ecclesiastes 7:14 NIV
Thank God for the changes in your life and praise Him for the things you’ve learned about yourself. Take a look at the circumstances that changed; do you see how you’ve grown? You may have tripped and stumbled through this season but you never gave up even though it was hard. You kept your faith and honored God”s word and He blessed you with a change for the better. Remember: “The end of a matter is better than its beginning,” Ecclesiastes 7:8 NIV
Embrace the change and the lessons learned.

Thoughtfulness: Providing For Another's Need
"As she got up to glean, Boaz gave orders to his men, 'Even if she gathers among the sheaves, don't embarrass her. Rather, pull out some stalks for her from the bundles and leave them for her to pick up, and don't rebuke her.'" Ruth 2:15-16 NIV
Compassion was shown to Ruth by Boaz because of his faith and all the things Ruth has done to help her mother-in-law Naomi. (see Ruth Chapter 1) We should all strive to do this and if we need encouragement simply look back on our lives when times were hard and we needed someone to step in and help. Sometimes, we received help and sometimes we did not- but how did you feel on both occasions? That feeling should spur us on to love and good deeds. It's not for us to judge the who, what, when and where of things- we are to show compassion. Therefore, let us go above and beyond what is expected to show consideration and thoughtfulness without embarrassing or rebuking the other person.

Don't Wait
Don't you wait too late before you pray. Sinner boy, sinner girl you, you better make peace with your maker. One of these days, one of these ole days. You sure, you gotta meet your undertaker. So don't you wait too late before you pray.
Don't be like, like that rich man. Tell me Lazarus laid there beggin', beggin', beggin', kept right on, kept right on beggin' at his gates. Tell me when that rich man died in hell he lifted up his eyes but you know what, that's when he prayed. But don't you know his prayer, his prayer was to late. That's why I like to take time out, I just wanna tell you, don't you wait too late before you pray. Don't wait 'till they roll you down, down the aisle. Well it's too late, it's too late. When your tongue been glued to the roof of your mouth. Well it's too late. Heart done stop beatin', it's too late; pumpin' blood from one vein to another, well it's too late. Somebody walked up and looked down on you, it's too late. Called your name but you can't answer, well it's too late, it's too late. Don't let it, don't let it, don't let it, don't let it be said, it's too late. So don't you wait too late before you pray.

Encouragement For The Battered
Ever have so many things come against you at once? Your life seems to be barely hanging on and you’re fighting to stay steadfast in your faith. With each blow from the enemy you cry out to the Lord. He answers and assures you that all will be fine, just believe and trust in him. You obey and continue on in your walk with God; then another blow seems to come out of nowhere; you reel from its impact and cry out to the Lord. He comes close and wraps his arms around you and tells you to keep going, have faith and trust in me. Again you obey feeling reassured and refreshed in your soul. You’ve mustered up the courage and are walking in faith. Here’s some encouragement to go on.
The LORD is my shepherd, I shall not be in want. He makes me lie down in green pastures, he leads me beside quiet waters, he restores my soul. He guides me in paths of righteousness for his name’s sake. Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me. You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies. You anoint my head with oil; my cup overflows. Surely goodness and love will follow me all the days of my life, and I will dwell in the house of the LORD forever. Psalm 23:1-6 NIV

Say it!
I heard it said that you shouldn't tell the Lord that you love him. They said, "Just show the Lord by being obedient to Him." They even told me, "I've never seen it in the Bible." Well I disagree, I believe we should tell the Lord that we love Him as well as through our actions. We tell our family and friends that we love them. How much more should we express this to God? Let's follow David's example and say, "I love you, LORD; you are my strength." Psalms 18:1 NLT

Keep the Light On
Think about it. Picture it, you walk into your living room and it is very dark. You cannot see your hand before your face. So you invite the light in by turning on the switch; and the darkness goes away. Now you can see. Turn off the switch and the darkness returns. This holds true for our lives as Christians. When Light comes, darkness goes away. So it did when we accepted Jesus in our hearts. Our sinful selves died and we were reborn, made into a new creation. 2 Corinthians 5:17 NIV
“The eye is a light for the body. If your eyes are good, your whole body will be full of light.” Matthew 6:22 NCV

Desiring To Live With God
Who may worship in your sanctuary, LORD? Who may enter your presence on your holy hill? Those who lead blameless lives and do what is right, speaking the truth from sincere hearts. Those who refuse to slander others or harm their neighbors or speak evil of their friends. Those who despise persistent sinners, and honor the faithful followers of the LORD and keep their promises even when it hurts. Those who do not charge interest on the money they lend, and who refuse to accept bribes to testify against the innocent. Such people will stand firm forever. Psalms 15:1-5 NLT

When You Feel Like Giving Up
There may be something that you need to do, want to do or dream of doing but you're just a little afraid. The goal you are seeking to accomplish is a noble task of which you're not completely equipped. You see all the things that you are lacking and suddenly it all seems insurmountable. You feel inadequate and wonder to yourself, "What was I thinking?" or "Who am I to try this?". You feel like giving up sometimes. Take heart! Remember what God did for Daniel, Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego? Scripture says, "To these four young men God gave knowledge and understanding of all kinds of literature and learning. And Daniel could understand visions and dreams of all kinds." Daniel 1:17 NIV He will do the same for you so don't give up but pray. Scripture says, "If any of you lacks wisdom, he should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to him." James 1:5 NIV
God has done it for you before and He will do it again.

When You See The Obstacles Instead Of The Way
You may be experiencing a great need in your life right now. You've done all that you could do to meet that need. You've prayed for help, guidance and favor. You've battled bouts of fear, anger and hope. Your battle may have temporarily clouded your view but look up, for God has already made a way for you. "Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight." Proverbs 3:5-6 NIV
For God is greater than your obstacles.
